Yoga for Gardeners

I’m excited to share this series with you! Yoga for Gardeners is designed to prepare you for the physical demands of gardening. In addition to teaching yoga, I also love gardening, and know firsthand how much yoga can help you garden with more ease and comfort.

Each class will focus on innovative ways to stretch and strengthen your hips, shoulders, and core. Learn simple stretches you can do right in the garden, including some of my favorite wrist stretches. No experience necessary, beginners, and seniors are encouraged to join. Props, yoga mat, 2 foam yoga blocks, and a resistance band.

In this series, we take a comprehensive look at the hips. Join me to learn simple and effective ways to stretch and strengthen your hips. We will look at hamstrings, hips flexors, IT band and more. There will be lots of options to meet you where you are at. Building hip strength can greatly improve balance, increasingly important as we age. Strengthen your core, support your spine.

Your core is the center of your body, and it’s essential to healthy functional movement. A strong core helps stabilize your spine, improves your balance and helps you move with more ease and comfort. After the age of 30, we all experience normal changes to our spines, this often shows up as low back stiffness or even pain. Yoga has been scientifically proven to help. People who do yoga have significantly less back issues. A strong and functional core is important for healthy movement. Join me to explore fun and engaging ways to optimize the strength and function of your core. This series is created for you to do when it fits your schedule. Shoulder Series

I’m thrilled to bring you my 4-week shoulder series. It’s no secret that I love working with the shoulders, in fact, I’ve been working with them for nearly 2 decades. I’ve taken your feedback and requests and put them together with new insight after a resent shoulder injury. I’ve realized it's crucial to maintain strength for healthy shoulders, especially as we age. I've created a comprehensive series to help you move with more ease and comfort, both on and off your mat. In this series, you will learn simple and effective ways to stretch and strengthen your shoulders. This series is created for you to do when it fits your schedule. Join me and learn just how awesome and amazing your shoulders are. Learn to find optimal alignment in common yoga poses. Open to all levels, beginners, and seniors are encouraged to join. Props, yoga mat and 2 foam yoga blocks, (optional, 3rd block, exercise band and large bolster).
